The artwork encapsulates the serene beauty and profound depth of nature in Taipei City, drawing inspiration from the evocative poetry:

 

"At sea, the dawn's first light appears,

In the mountains, morning bells ring clear.

The heavens unfold in boundless hue,

Perched Upon the Peak’s Gaze“

 

The textile flows like the gentle awakening of dawn, with luminous threads of gold, silver, and pearlescent shimmer evoking the first light breaking over the sea. Through the artist's meticulous craftsmanship, the fabric weaves a tapestry of tranquility, intricately mirroring the undulating forms of the mountains and capturing the stillness of morning, pierced only by distant echoes. The heavens are portrayed as a vast, misty expanse of white, inviting viewers into an infinite realm of space and possibility. Against this ethereal backdrop, the textures evolve with purposeful definition: structured patterns emerge to reflect a vintage 1930s map of Taipei City, where the forested streets of Dunhua North Road are rendered as pathways of memory. These threads evoke timeless golden recollections, offering a vision of the city as both a cherished home, symbolising eternal golden memories for travellers. The integration of lurex yarn and Haute couture d'art weaving techniques elevates the textile to a realm of artistic opulence, blending luxury with timeless sophistication. The interplay of color, texture, and form brings the poem’s imagery to life, resonating with its themes of awakening and ascension.
